I obsessed over this piece for an impossibly long time. This Poison Ivy is one of the few pieces I've done that I really consider an entire work. She's placed decently on the page, not too much headroom (not that you can tell being that I cropped it drastically after scanning), and a full composition.

In terms of her coloring, I started to work on her in marker, but I was pressured by a friend to finish her in watercolor pencil. Subsequently, the color is a bit uneven through her hair and skin as I initially worked with a wet napkin to smooth down the colors and the paper was not particularly watercolor friendly. I toyed with the smudge effect in Photoshop through her hair and used gradients to change her eye. (It didn't look bad in marker, but.. I just wanted to try something different.) The background's also a gradient. I sort of tend to overlook the fact that something in the background tends to add to an image.
